I hope everyone is having a safe, and relaxing Memorial Day. I just
wanted to stop and thank our service men and women for sacrificing so
much for us.
As many of you have seen on Facebook, my styled inspiration photo shoot went SO WELL. The couple were so great! So sweet too! Here is an image I just edited today! I am so in love with all these images :) I can't wait to show them all to you.

Photograph of the Week - May 11, 2015
This past weekend I got to go on a Backcountry Cooking Seminar through PSU. We got to cook some awesome food, and go on a small day hike. This is Mt. Hood looking towards the west. We camped on the East side of Mt.Hood. It was absolutely gorgeous over there! Warm, dry and sunny!

Song and Photograph of the Week - May 4, 2015
Things are coming together for the styled engagement photo shoot! Guys, I am so excited! Can't wait to share it all with you!
I'm almost done with my first year of sign language, and I have to sign a song for the class at the end of the term. I have hopefully picked, Feel Better by Nikki Lang. I am excited to translate it to ASL, it will be a fun song to sign. That is also the song of the week :)
I hiked to Elowah falls this past Saturday with my dog, Mocha. The weather was so nice, and all the parking along the Historic Highway was packed! Luckily I found a spot up front for the John B. Yeon Trailhead. I'm sharing a couple with you guys, I just can't help sharing my sweet dog :)

Song and Photograph of the Week - April 20, 2015
If you haven't heard.....I officially booked my first solo wedding. I cannot wait for June! I also updated my website, and added some images from weddings I've second shot (with another primary photographer). Go look HERE!
In the meantime, if you know a student that is the Class of 2016 and needs senior pictures....send them to me!! If you haven't seen some of my senior photography work, you can see it up on my website, HERE.
Song of the week yet again is country, and guess where I heard it.....in my car!It is sooo catchy! Smoke by A Thousand Horses
Photograph of the week is from my Spring Break backpacking trip! I just edited this one this week. From the second day, we woke up to lots of snow!!

Song and Photograph of the Week - April 13, 2015
It's already the middle of April!!! Gah, this year is going by really fast. It is finally looking and feeling sort of like spring! You know what that means?!?! Senior Photography! I would love to get some people booked this Spring and Summer. Know someone graduating next year? Send them my way!
I saw Interstellar a 2 or 3 weeks ago, and I fell in love with the soundtrack! It is amazing, and it was no surprise it is Hans Zimmer. He is one of my favorites! The movie was long, yes, BUT I would highly recommend it. It was very much like inception.... mind blowing. Here is my favorite song on the soundtrack from Interstellar! Mountains by Hans Zimmer
My watercolor class at MHCC started last Wednesday. It was the introductory class, and we didn't paint, because we had to find out what we needed. But it was a lot of fun. It is a community learning class, and I am most definitely the youngest attendee. The teacher, Polly will be 86 years old on the 2st. She is so cute. I got too impatient this week, and decided to start painting. Here are some things I've painted this past week :)

Song and Photograph of the Week - April 6, 2015
Very excited for Wednesday! The Watercolor class I signed up for at MHCC starts. YAY! I'm sure some of my work will end up here for you all to see :) I am not sore anymore from the PCT backpacking trip, which is a nice change.Been drinking LOTS of water and eating a ton of food to catch up!
I am a fan of the group Dan + Shay, I heard a song from them I hadn't really listened to before. It was good, and I wanted to share it with you guys! Nothin' Like You by Dan + Shay
I got to go hiking for the first time after the PCT trip. I went with one of the leaders from the trip actually. We hiked to Gillette Lake, which is up in Washington! It was raining pretty hard, and decided to leave my camera in the car. But I have hiked to it before, so here is the lake, when I hiked to it in 2013.

Song and Photograph of the Week - March 30, 2015
I survived a week in the wilderness, and hiking 32 miles! I will definitely be backpacking more in the near future! It was a lot of fun, combining 2 of my favorite outdoor activities was definitely fun! The hikes each day were fun, we got snowed on the first night, and had a small blizzard during the next day's hike. BUT so much fun! I definitely would have enjoyed the 8, 7.5 and 6 mile days more if my hip hadn't been a little angry at me. I survived though! More to come about my hike, as I get images edited I will be making a post for each day of the trip! :)
One album I had stuck in my head the whole week was Sam Hunt's Montevallo album. You can listen to that HERE!
Here is a little sneak peek into the snow we had! :)

Song and Photograph of the Week - March 23, 2015
When this is published, I will be on a backpacking trip! A whole week out on the Pacific Crest Trail, 12 of us (PSU Outdoor Program) are hiking from Lolo Pass, in Zigzag, Oregon to The Bridge of the Gods. I am hoping to have a good time, and am looking forward to hiking 32 miles :D
I am currently listening to a new song (to me), that I heard on the radio the other day. It is country, like most of the other music I listen to in my car! But I hope some of you will enjoy it! Love Me Like You Mean It by Kelsea Ballerini
The Photograph of the week is from a hike I did with a couple of awesome girls from YoungLife! We went to Mirror Lake, I had never been there but it was beautiful. And typical of Oregon.....rainy!

Song and Photograph of the Week - March 17, 2015
Finals are over for me!!! WHOO! I am now gearing up to go on a week long backpacking trip during spring break, aka next week! Happy St. Patrick's Day :)
Do you ever hear a song, and don't really like it at first? That happened to me this past week. I heard Lay Me Down by Sam Smith on the radio and I wasn't a fan. But once I got home and listened to it again.... its been playing non-stop on my spotify :)
On Sunday, I got to go hike to Mirror lake with a couple of girls from the YoungLife club I volunteer with. I had a lot of fun hiking with them! Even though it rained :( the lake was beautiful! Wish we could have seen Mt.Hood though.

Song and Photograph of the Week - March 9, 2015
As my final papers are due this week, I am not preparing a full week of posts. I have a Gothic short story to write, and an analysis on a short story to film adaptation. :) Oh boy!
Song of the week, I heard this on the radio the other day. I have heard it several times, but never looked up what song it was! It is such a sweet song, and warning, it is country :)
Mean To Me - Brett Eldredge
I love to find rock stacks on my hikes. I've found 2 this year already! This one is from my hike at Horsetail Falls.

Song and Photograph of the Week - March 2, 2015
As I am catching up on editing all my adventure photos, I will bring back Song and Photograph of the week this week!
I assume most of you have seen the trailers for the live action Cinderella film already. One of my favorite songs on one of the versions is Aeon. It builds so nicely, I love it! Nick Murray – Aeon (feat. Juliet Lyons)
I went on a hike to the Herman Creek Pinnacles this past Saturday! It was so windy, but fun. My friend Ryan went with me, and we figured out we are both pretty clumsy :P Both of us fell at one point or another :) I captured this image on that hike. I got it how I wanted it on the FIRST try! WHOO! I loved how the sunlight was catching on the moss.

Song and Photograph of the Week - January 12, 2015
Already the THIRD week of the new year. My goodness!! This is also the start of the second week of classes. I am enjoying all of mine so far. One class I am taking is, Writing about Film. It is a 300 level class, and my awesome teacher is probably in her late 60's or early 70's. Guess what movie we are watching first?! FROZEN! Yes, the Disney movie, in a college 300 level course. It's pretty amazing :) What is more fun than watching it in a college class? Watching other Juniors and Seniors that have never seen it, watch it for the first time. It's priceless :)
Staying with the Frozen theme, the song of the week is from one of my favorite parts of the movie. I am a big fan of Olaf (the snowman), he is so cute! So Josh Gad – In Summer is the song of the week :)
I've been trying to be more active on Instagram, both on my personal feed and my business feed! Daily postings are my goal, but with Tue/Thur having work, school, and nanny all in a row, I'm thinking my postings will be 5 days a week. ANYWAY, one of my favorite images I've posted on my personal page was one of Mocha (my dog) running at the dog park. I also added below it another favorite from that day! :) ENJOY!

Song and Photograph of the Week - January 5, 2015
Happy 2015! I am so looking forward to this year. I have some exciting new changes planned for NbDP within the next couple months! One hint is, I am going to be making the client experience more in person! Exciting huh? I think so!
How many of you have New Years Resolutions? I have a few! One goal is to go through all my personal 2013-2014 images and delete the unwanted photos (blurry, multiples, and bad pictures). THEN I need to go through and edit them :) I am done with deleting ALL 2013 images, now all I have to do is edit them. This goal coincides with my Project Life goal. In the summer of 2013 I bought a Project Life scrapbook thing. Its amazing, but I haven't gotten around to putting my pictures in and writing about them. So going through all my images and editing them will help me to feel good about printing and scrapbooking them!
I found a song today that I really like. This song is by Mat Kearney, who was born in Eugene, Oregon. I think that's pretty cool. Mat Kearney – One Black Sheep was released this past December. Go give it a listen!
This past Saturday, I went hiking with a friend I met a few years ago in a design class, up at PSU. Hes local to Gresham, same as me! We finally found a day we were both free to go hiking! We went up to Dry Creek Falls. We were hoping it would not be raining up there. Thankfully it wasn't, but foggy? YES. It was so gorgeous! The falls were still frozen, it was so beautiful. Only complaint was that it was cold. It's definitely a hike I would recommend, only 4.4 miles there and back. I couldn't narrow it down to 1 photo. So here are 3! You are the first ones to see these :)

Mocha has a thing about my camera. SHE (almost) NEVER LOOKS! Usually she's looking away from it, its hilarious. But, also frustrating because I want to see her eyes :) |

Song and Photograph of the Week - December 29, 2014
I missed posting on Monday, I've been a little consumed with a project for the past several days. This will also be the photograph of the week :) So, after I came back from going on a mission trip in 2010, I bought a quilt kit. It's been sitting under my bed for awhile. Several days ago, I found it again and decided to do it! After lots of frustration, it is done. And I've included the room I've been in working on it. :P I added the big table today for my new project I'm working on.
I hope everyone has a great, safe New Years Eve!

Song and Photograph of the Week - December 22, 2014
Merry Christmas Eve Eve! 2 days until CHRISTMAS! I don't know about you, but it does not feel like it should be Christmas already. This year has flown by so fast. I will keep this post nice and sweet, as I am sure you still have a lot to do in 2 days ;)
I am a big Michael Buble fan, and his Christmas album is amazing. This song is quite amazing, have a listen! Holly Jolly Christmas by Michael Bublé
I recently photographed a company Christmas party. The center pieces and place settings were amazing! Loved the whole set up! Lots of purple, even the spot lights shooting up the wall were purple!

Song and Photograph of the Week - December 15, 2014
10 days until Christmas! Who is excited? I hope everyone got their Christmas cards out in the mail on time, and are getting all your Christmas presents wrapped! I am proud to say I am almost done shopping, and making ALL my presents. This also includes CLIENTS! Clients who have booked a full session this year might be getting something special ;)
The song of the week is from one of my favorite instrumental groups, Escala! Hope you enjoy Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas
The photograph of the week is from January 2013. Seems like so long ago. But I haven't seen much frost and snowy conditions this year. So, no pictures of that to share from recently. Here you go, not sure what kind of leaf it is, but I love it!

Song and Photograph of the Week - December 1, 2014
December 1st ALREADY?! Can time just slow down a little? No? Okay :( I just have so much to do! I am sure everyone else feels the same about Christmas. Though, I am excited for 3 weeks of no school! Perks of being in college!
I heard an amazing song on the radio last week! Something in the Water - Carrie Underwood
The song has such a great message, and is very catchy to listen to!
Carrie talks about another one of her "religious" songs Jesus Take The Wheel - Carrie Underwood
"After I released 'Jesus Take the Wheel,' people started saying, 'Oh, it's kind of risky. You're coming out with a religious song,'" the 31-singer revealed, according to Esquire magazine. "And I was thinking, 'Really?' I grew up in Oklahoma, I always had a close relationship with God. I never thought it was risky in the least. If anything, I thought it was the safest thing I could do." Click HERE for the Christian Post article.
We took family pictures yesterday, yes, in the freezing cold!!! My sister was back from Eugene (she goes to U of O) for Thankgiving. So we took our picture for Christmas cards. I have taken pictures of my sister and her boyfriend (Josh), for their anniversary. I have taken pictures of my parents for the Christmas card, and I was the only one left without a picture to go on the cards. My mom got to use her button clicking skills. I set everything up for her, and she took a great photo :)

Song and Photograph of the Week - November 17, 2014
So 4 more days until the next Hunger Games movie (Mockingjay Part 1) comes out! 10 more days until I turn 22! 37 days until Christmas, GAH I have so much to do, I'm doubting any of you are ready yet :P. Only 44 more days until the new year! WHAT!? This year is going by way, way too fast. I will be working on updating everything, including going to a more digital format to cut down on business printing costs. This should also help you guys, my clients with the whole process :) I'm excited!
If you haven't looked at my Etsy shop Kisses and Wishes, you should! I've posted some Photoshop Christmas Card Templates! I made a few versions for my mom's Christmas card to pick from, and thought if anyone else wanted them :) If you don't have Photoshop, I can put your images onto the templates and email you JPG files of them! Templates HERE, and the custom listing for me to put your images in HERE. :)
I'm not sure where I heard this song of the week. I was instantly hooked! The beat builds so nicely, and its super catchy. I love the Google search bar on my phone, you can click the speaker button, and have it listen to the song. There's a little blue music note that lights up when it recognizes its a song, and it will tell you what it is. It's a very nice feature, helps me discover lots of new music. So the song of the week is Geronimo by Sheppard.
Photograph of the week is from 2 years ago. I did not venture out into the cold this year yet when it was snowy. SO here is one of my favorites of ICE!

Song and Photograph of the Week - November 10, 2014
I posted a couple weeks ago I took some pictures of my parents. Those were for our Christmas cards, I've been designing ours for the last 2 years. This year as always, I am making a few versions for my mom to pick from. But, these will be available to buy in my Etsy shop, if anyone wants some!
I'm surprised at how fast this year is going, it is already NOVEMBER 10TH! I am so thankful I get 3 weeks (or so) off of school for the holidays! It'll give me plenty of time to get things done before Christmas.
I had a midterm in my History of Rock Music class this past week. I got a 90%! Well one of the sections on the test was to match the song title to the artist, year and genre. One of my favorite songs that was on the test was, Bill Haley & His Comets – Shake, Rattle And Roll
This will be the song of the week :)
We will also look at an old image for the Photograph of the Week! This is from last November, and I love all the colors in it! So fally feeling :)

Song and Photograph of the Week - October 20, 2014
Ive had a few great fall sessions this month! As much as I hate the rain, fall colors are beautiful! I am definitely not looking forward to the constant rain coming next month :(
Short post today, I have lots to do! :)
In one of my new favorite shows, Forever, I heard an awesome song! It's called New York - The Boxer Rebellion
Photograph of the week, picking one I haven't posted anywhere else yet! I really wish it had more fall colored leaves, but that's okay. I found this cute little stream on my hike to Ramona Falls.
